South Korean steel giant Posco has started the test run at its first continuous galvanizing line at its subsidiary Shunde Posco Coated Steel in China.
The company planned to put the galvanizing line into operation in this December and the annual production is expected to reach 450,000 tons, mainly produces galvannealed sheets for automotive industry.
It's learned that Posco established the galvanizing line in China, aiming to meet the rising demand from car and home appliance manufactures in Guangdong Province.
Meanwhile, the South Korean steel giant is also building a second continuous galvanizing line in Mexico, which is expected to produce 500,000 tons annually.
Also, Posco commissioned a new continuous galvanizing line in India this May with an annual production capacity of 450,000 tons
